______________________________________________________________The WASP machines can also be used to manufacture aerial shell hemispheres. Pictured below are some 12" hemispheres rolled on a WASP5 machine. A set of 12" Japanese casings was used as the former, and 35lb gummed tape was rolled onto it until a thickness of 1/8" was achieved. The resulting hemispheres take about 5 minutes to create, and are strong, smooth, and accurate with a cost of about $1.30 per set.
