Here is a photo of some of the shells pasted in ONE DAY at the 2010 PGI Convention using WASP Superstinger machines. In total, 4/16", 16/12", 20/10" and 8/8" shells were pasted in one day. The shells were fired 24 hours later as part of the evenings' Grand Public Display.

About 1 year ago, I introduced a new machine model called the WASP Stinger. The Stinger is an all-aluminum machine that pastes shells 2” through 8”. The design proved to be very successful, but people kept asking for a version that would also paste shells up to 12”. After a bit of R&D, I am pleased to announce the new WASP Superstinger, which pastes shells 2-1/2” through 12”.
The Superstinger has stronger motors and drivers than the standard Stinger, but is very similar in design. However, the exciting thing about the Superstinger is that it can be adjusted from 2-1/2” shells to 12” shells (and any size in between) in just a few seconds! All the adjustments are made using knobs, so no tools are needed!
This machine is exceptionally easy to use. All the tape guides are built into the machine and they can easily be adjusted for different width tapes. To adjust the Superstinger to a given shells size, you simply set the bearings to a position slightly above the equator of the shell. Then drop the machine arm down on the shell, pull the tape over the application wheel and attach it to the shell. Press start and you are pasting fireworks! It really is that easy!
Now here is the really good news: The WASP Superstinger is priced at less than a WASP4 machine. In fact, it is priced far below the WASP4. The Superstinger is only (e-mail widpyro@charter.net for pricing) and includes everything you need to start pasting shells right away. You get the machine, controller, power supplies and all cables, magnets, sample hemis, rolls of gummed tape, full instructions, caplugs, software and shell files, and a full 1 year unconditional warrantee. And finally, here is the kicker: If you order soon, I will also include a FREE tape dispensor designed specifically for the WASP machines. This dispensor has a reservoir that automatically maintains the proper water level. It also has an adjustment for the bottle height that ensures that just the right amount of water is transferred to the gummed tape. And it handles rolls of tape up to 1000’ in length and 1-1/2” wide.

______________________________________________________________The WASP machines can also be used to manufacture aerial shell hemispheres. Pictured below are some 12" hemispheres rolled on a WASP5 machine. A set of 12" Japanese casings was used as the former, and 35lb gummed tape was rolled onto it until a thickness of 1/8" was achieved. The resulting hemispheres take about 5 minutes to create, and are strong, smooth, and accurate with a cost of about $1.30 per set.
